This would be easiest but of course less attractive from a performance viewpoint. I am not even sure that if I addressed the header issue if the motor would work with the rest of the stock components I would want to use.ģ) Standard variety 350 crate motor. This motor has the fast burn heads which would require modification of my headers to work with the D shaped exhaust port. No inspection here in Washington.Ģ) ZZ383 crate motor. I was told it could be dropped in and with the stock computer, EGR intake, carb and all other emissions stuff it would pass tail pipe emissions test. Here are a couple of ideas I was thinking about:ġ) ZZ4 crate motor. I like the idea of a drop in motor like a crate engine offers. I know there is a write up on an emissions legal 383 here on the board which I am looking at but I am wondering about a couple of other options. I have to deal with emissions for another 5 years so that is my main consideration when deciding. I am pondering what I could replace my stock L69 with.
